Our ME department adds value, and in some cases can improve our customers' product producibility. This department includes process and quality engineers, planners, along with CAD drafting to develop drawing files from CATIA models. We build our own fixtures, form blocks and press tools at Royell and these are designed through this team.

CATIA v5 is our primarily platform to receive and communicate our customers' digital product engineering datasets. Not only with our programming team but also to facilitate model based definition exchange with our quality department.

SolidWorks is the CAD system used for tool design and to create and manage our internal drawings. This also provides us with the ability to flow down this drawing data to our supplier partners for online bidding.

Mastercam is used to generate the code that drives our CNC equipment. We have found this to be the most cost effective way to plot tool paths and produce complex surfaces.

We use Vericut and tool path optimizer software to simulate machining cutter paths and eliminate costly errors and inefficiencies.
